A Legacy of Healing: How Doyle Chiropractic Was Established

A Foundation Built Before I Could Walk

In April of 1978, I was born into the hands of a chiropractor.

My father was a chiropractor, and my mother, deeply committed to natural health, wanted her children to begin life in a holistic way. I was delivered at home in a small apartment across the street from my dad’s first chiropractic clinic in Overland Park, Kansas. Thankfully, he didn’t drop me.

Moments after I was born, I received my first upper cervical adjustment after months curled in the fetal position. That was my introduction not only to life, but to the profession that would later define my life’s work.

Healthcare runs deep in my family. My great-grandfather practiced osteopathy in northwestern Missouri from the 1910s through the 1950s. My grandfather, inspired by growing up around hands-on care, chose dentistry and practiced in Kansas City from the 1950s through the late 1980s, eventually serving as President of the Kansas Dental Association.

When my grandfather’s daughters became engaged at roughly the same time, he sat his future sons-in-law down for a serious conversation about their futures. Having grown up around conservative, hands-on healthcare himself, he encouraged them to consider chiropractic as a career path. He believed deeply in helping people without immediately turning to drugs or surgery.

Thankfully, they listened. Both enrolled at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City and graduated in 1976.

Today, between my father, two uncles, two siblings, three cousins, one cousin who married a classmate, and myself, we have ten chiropractors in the family. Thanksgiving conversations tend to revolve around spinal biomechanics. Add in a podiatrist and several nurses, and it becomes clear that helping others heal has been woven into our family DNA.

A Leap of Faith

When it came time to open my own clinic, I had the vision but not the financial backing. With three young children while completing my BS and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees, resources were tight. Banks politely declined my loan applications.

My wife worked tirelessly, balancing remote work and raising our children, sacrificing sleep and comfort to help us stay afloat.

Then my greatest supporter stepped in. My mother believed in me enough to take out a second mortgage on her home so I could open my first practice.

On November 4, 2013, Doyle Chiropractic opened its doors in Simpsonville, South Carolina because of her faith.

Two years later, still navigating the realities of small business ownership, I took another leap and purchased land just off Fairview Road. In 2019, we moved into the building I built at that location. Today it stands as Doyle Chiropractic — The DC Original.

From November 2013 through May 2020, I practiced alone and the clinic was open four days a week. Chiropractic is a hands-on, physically demanding profession, and sustaining longevity requires discipline and balance.

In June of 2020, Dr. Faust joined the team, allowing us to expand from four days per week to six days per week — what some patients jokingly call “Chick-fil-A hours.”

As the practice continued to grow, so did our team. In 2020, Dr. Trish and Dr. Hill joined and now oversee our Downtown Simpsonville location, helping extend access while maintaining the same clinical standards and philosophy of care.

Most recently, in January of 2026, Dr. Thomas Bombery joined our team after relocating from Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Tom has been one of my closest colleagues since we first met in chiropractic school over 16 years ago. Bringing him onto the team represents not only growth, but trust built through years of shared philosophy and friendship.

My mom passed away in September 2021. I wish more than anything she could see what her belief built. Her fingerprints remain on everything we do. Even the red cardinals that visit just outside my adjusting room feel like quiet reminders of her presence.

The Team Behind the Scenes

While Doyle Chiropractic has been blessed with many outstanding chiropractic assistants over the years, strong leadership behind the front desk has been essential to our growth.

Our office manager, Uyen (Wynn), has been instrumental in the daily operations of the practice since March of 2022. Her organization, steady leadership, and ability to manage the moving parts of two growing locations provide the structure that allows our clinical team to focus fully on patient care.

In October of 2024, Eli joined our team and immediately brought something Doyle Chiropractic had not previously offered — Spanish interpretation services. This strengthened our ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with our Spanish-speaking community, ensuring patients feel understood and well cared for.

In April of 2025, Ashlyn joined the team and quickly became known for her calm, steady presence. Even during the busiest days, her ability to remain composed and reassuring helps patients and coworkers feel at ease.

Behind every adjustment is a coordinated effort. From the front desk to the treatment rooms, our team works together to ensure each patient’s experience reflects the same level of care this practice was founded upon.

Growth and Innovation

As our patient family grew, so did our commitment to bringing advanced, evidence-informed technologies into our practice.

In 2018, we introduced our first Erchonia Class II laser.

In 2019, we added a second Erchonia Class II FX635 laser.

In 2022, we incorporated the OvationULT red light therapy bed.

In 2023, we added acoustic wave therapy and the Class IV Summus laser.

In 2024, we introduced spinal decompression therapy for the cervical spine and lumbar spine, as well as knee decompression.

In 2025, we expanded further by adding electromagnetic pulsation field therapy (PEMF) and the Erchonia Class II FDA-cleared ultraviolet fat loss and body contouring laser.

That same year, we partnered with EllieMD, a telehealth medical group, to provide patients streamlined access to peptide therapies that support multiple layers of tissue throughout the body.

As healthcare evolves, so do we. Our commitment remains the same: thoughtfully implementing science-backed technology to help patients achieve their goals and live their best lives.

Downtown Simpsonville Roots

Most recently, we opened inside the historic Burdette Central building in downtown Simpsonville. Built in 1899, with brick and mortar additions in 1921, this 125-plus-year-old landmark has served as a centerpiece of the community for generations.

Inside Suite 128 on the second floor, we created a space intentionally different from a traditional medical office. Instead of sterile walls and harsh lighting, patients step into a calming environment with exposed brick and century-old hardwood floors.

If you haven’t had a chance to visit our downtown location yet, parking is located on the backside of the building. When you enter, you’ll pass the stairwells and restrooms and continue down the hallway toward the elevator. Take the elevator to the second floor, step out, take five paces forward, and turn to your right. You’ll see Suite 128 and the Doyle Chiropractic logo welcoming you in.

We designed this space to feel approachable, grounded, and built to last — just like our practice.

An Invitation

If you are looking for a chiropractic office deeply rooted in the Simpsonville community — one that continues to reinvest in advanced technology, expand access, and operate with consistency — we would be honored to serve you.

Our goal has never been to simply hope better healthcare options would exist in the future. It has been to actively seek them out, evaluate them carefully, and implement them when they truly benefit our patients.

With two established locations, comprehensive therapeutic options within South Carolina guidelines, expanded hours, and a team committed to continuity of care, we strive to be the kind of practice you can rely on for years to come.

When you choose Doyle Chiropractic, you are not just scheduling an appointment. You are choosing a long-term partner in your health.

On behalf of our entire team, I would personally like to invite you to join the Doyle Chiropractic family and experience the difference for yourself.
